Heat recovery unit cleaning
Cleaning of recuperators, heat exchangers and filters — so the system returns heat instead of electricity bills.
The recovery unit is the most sensitive point in a ventilation system: clogged filters and a fouled exchanger cut performance immediately, and the fan starts drawing more power for the same volume of air.
We clean the whole unit — exchanger, fans, condensate system and casing — replace filters and verify that the system runs at its design output afterwards.
What the service covers
- Plate and rotary heat exchangers
- Supply and extract fans
- Filter inspection and replacement
- Condensate collection system
- Disinfection of the casing interior
- Performance check after the work
How we work
- 01 Survey We assess the unit type, access and level of fouling.
- 02 Strip-down Filters and the exchanger come out where the design allows.
- 03 Cleaning Washed with dedicated agents that do not damage the plates.
- 04 Check Reassembled, tested and documented.

Frequently asked questions
How often should a recovery unit be cleaned?
Filters every 3–6 months, the whole unit at least once a year. In dusty environments, more often.
Will cleaning reduce bills?
A fouled exchanger and blocked filters force the system to work harder. After cleaning the unit reaches its design output at lower energy use.
Do you replace filters?
Yes, we source and fit the correct filter class for your unit.
