How often should a chute be cleaned?
At least once or twice a year, depending on the size of the building and how heavily the chute is used.
Do residents need to be warned?
Yes, the chute is out of use during the work. We prepare the notice together with the manager.
Will the smell go away?
After cleaning and treatment it does. If the shaft itself is damaged or leaking, we flag that in the report.
